Another good one. How long does it take u to think up an idea and complete the whole picture? My kid, he's 13, is very much into drawing, sketching and now comic writing too
cinafong: 8 hours or more, start to finish. Tony: they do charitable work (sponsor children's hospitals, etc.), have clandestine meetings and rituals, and probably drink beer. M.C.: yes! 12: Waldo is playing a sousaphone in the band. Tyler: everything's hand drawn in pen and colored/shaded with marker. I use photoshop to correct screwups and manipulate the colors. I also use unhealthy amounts of caffeine.
Many years ago, I was in a High School band that participated in a lot of parades (we avoided droning by having a band leader who got us marching band versions of 60s and 70s rock songs... of course, the older folks watching the parade thought we were worse than droning). But your cartoon was very accurate except for one thing: the bands, clowns and other on-foot participants were ALWAYS put between the Overfed Animals and the Street Sweepers. I personally stepped in the poop of the Original Budweiser Clydesdales. An honor (and a smell) I will never forget. One parade there were so many animal units ahead of us, we didn't have to actually march; we took one collective step into the muck and slid to the parade's end (and still got the 1st Place Band trophy, possibly out of pity).

i have to say that i definitely appreciate your perspective on the world. not only is it easy to identify with, but it's also very amusing.
I love the little captions !
Nice one, the captions are awesome.
Fantastic! It's also given me the idea of being a water-balloon sniper at the next parade I go to!
I know shriners are those old blokes with the fezzes and the little cars but what else do they do?
Is that someone tanning on the roof behind the bunny balloon? haha.
yeah great - but now tell me: where the f* is waldo??
CLOWNS!!!! I will now run off to cower in a corner.
So do you hand draw all of these or do you do some/a lot of work in an image editor? Basically what are your tools of the trade?

Water balloon sniper? Funny! Deranged clowns? Made me think of clown zombies. Scary.

You have that stylistic charm that continues to captivate. I have to say that at first I thought we were on Hollywood Boulevard!
