This Friday, I'll be drawing ferociously (alongside a formidable group of local artists, architects, and designers) for a great cause: The 2nd Annual Monster Drawing Rally, sponsored by Women in Design-Kansas City. All proceeds from the sale of drawings will benefit Synergy Services, a non-profit violence-prevention program. Here are the details, straight from the Facebook event posting:

Kansas City, MO

Schedule:
6:30pm happy hour
7:00pm live drawing session begins
8:00pm drawing session ends; silent auction begins
9:00pm silent auction closes; winners are announced (bidders must be present to win!)

  4. I hope all these monsters don't send the wrong message to the anti-violence campaign, heh. Another good one. I like Abominably Ambitious--not what I would have expected from that old guy; maybe he has more sides to him than I could have guessed? A multi-faceted monster...

  6. Nice drawing. I still suffer from the Imp of Inability to Remember Names. Very frustrating that one.

  9. Love the cartoon, unfortunately it still applies to me now that I've hit 30, though I also have a new one: The Grim Reaper of Reasons why I came in this room.

  10. I've tried quaffing Red Bull to counter the Imp of the Inability To Remember Names in certain situations, but at night when I should be sleeping it seems to encourage the Witch of Wandering Wakefulness.
