Warrior Poets

Incidental Comics is now on Tumblr! You can follow me at http://incidentalcomics.tumblr.com/. My plan is to post a brand new comic every Thursday, with some sketchbook outtakes, process posts, and other projects thrown in the mix.

I've been reposting some comics from my archives (like the Roz-Chastian attempt above) on this blog every Monday, but for now these won't appear on my Tumblr. I want to track the progress of my work, rather than looking back at when I had a rougher drawing style and better sense of humor.

  1. What a fantastic idea! Great choice of poets too! I'm guessing you're an American Illustrator? It's funny how our cultural background affects everything we do, isn't it? I know I would have filled this piece with English poets if it were up to me, just as a Japanese person might have only included Japanese poets. Anyway, there are a few poets on your list that I've never heard of, so I'm going to go away and look them up. Thanks for broadening my horizons! :)

  3. Crimson: Yes, these are some of the hallowed poets of American literature. Although apparently T.S. Eliot became British later on. And you're right - I think I could write a similar comic about British poets, but I'd have to go school there first.
