The New Building

The new building, for non-local readers, is the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It's scheduled to open this September. If you're a fan of architect Moshe Safdie or the Kansas City skyline (or if you just like buildings with personality), you can order a print at http://www.flickr.com/photos/incidentalcomics.

Amazing. I'm a big fan of your work, but this one is exceptionally clever. "Let's topple on him. Okay, you first." was brilliant. Excellent personification.

That is a pretty sweet looking building, I can't wait to go see a performance there.

The way you give buildings a voice and a personality is very interesting. I also noticed most have a certain air to them, even in real life.

I too am a fan of your work. I always make sure to look at the Preview section, mainly for your piece each week. Last week and this week's work were particularly amusing and beautifully drawn.

Everyone: Thanks for all the encouraging words! This one was fun to draw, since I actually ventured out into the city for my rough sketches and photo reference.

"The old buildings are too set in their foundations." Just right. More good stuff.
