I've been a fan of The Yarn podcast since I began my journey creating children's books. Travis and Colby have interviewed some amazing authors, and each episode has new insights into the process of making a book.

One Boy Watching started with the image of a boy at a bus stop on a foggy autumn morning, waiting for the headlights of a big yellow bus. By sketching the Kansas countryside and revisiting memories of long childhood bus rides, a story took shape. This month I'll be sharing more process picture and final art from One Boy Watching.
